Tevola has two places to see its work in Scarborough. Visit the factory showroom at 50 Thornmount Dr Unit 24 to see how cabinets are built and to talk finishes and measurements. Drop into the display kitchen inside CTS Building Supplies at 733 Progress Ave to see a finished kitchen during longer hours. Bring measurements, photos and a budget range, and you will leave with a clear next step.
Seeing a kitchen in person answers questions photos cannot: how a door feels, how a drawer closes, what a colour looks like in real light. This guide explains which kitchen cabinet showroom to visit and when, what to bring, and what to look at once you are there. If you are still comparing makers, our checklist on how to choose a kitchen cabinet maker in the GTA pairs well with this one.

Which one should you visit?
Start at the factory showroom if you want detail
The factory is where Tevola’s kitchen and vanity cabinets are designed and built to order, so it is the right stop when you want to understand construction, compare door finishes side by side, and talk through your measurements. It is also the place to ask about a free measurement. Saturday visits are by appointment, so message first on WhatsApp at (416) 814-6035.

Stop at the CTS display if you want to see a finished kitchen
A display kitchen shows you how everything looks together: doors, handles, countertop and layout. CTS opens at 7am on weekdays and closes at 6pm, and it is open Saturday from 8am to 3pm, so it suits a stop before work, after work or on a weekend morning. Many people do both: see a finished kitchen first, then go to the factory to get specific.
What to bring
You can visit with nothing but curiosity, but you will get more from the trip with these six items. Do not worry if some are rough. A sketch is enough to start, and the free measurement fills in the rest.
- Rough measurements or a sketch. Wall lengths, ceiling height and the position of windows and doors. Cabinet pricing is by the linear foot, so even approximate wall lengths help.
- Photos of the space. Take wide shots of each wall and close-ups of anything awkward, like a bulkhead or a radiator.
- Appliance model numbers and sizes. Fridge, range, dishwasher and range hood. Cabinets are built around these, and a few centimetres can matter.
- Inspiration photos. Three to five images are plenty. Include a photo of what you do not like, too.
- A budget range. A range helps the team point you to the right finish and options. See custom kitchen cabinet costs in Toronto for background.
- Your timeline. A move-in date, a contractor start date, or “no rush.” Custom kitchen cabinets typically take 4 to 8 weeks from order confirmation, depending on the project.
Know the starting numbers
Tevola’s current published pricing, as of October 2026, starts at $350 per linear foot installed for thermofoil kitchens and $500 per linear foot installed for painted kitchens. Both include a quartz countertop, handles and a sink. Birch plywood cabinet boxes are an upgrade at $50 more per linear foot. Electrical, plumbing, demolition and construction work are not included. Every homeowner project is quoted after a free measurement, so these rates are a benchmark, not a final price.
Example only: a 15 linear foot painted kitchen at $500 per linear foot is $7,500 before the excluded trades.
What to look at and ask
Showrooms are easy to enjoy and hard to compare. Use this list so you leave with facts, not just impressions.
Box construction
Open a cabinet and look inside. Ask what the boxes are made of, what is standard and what is an upgrade. Look at how the corners are joined and how the shelves sit. This is the part of the cabinet you will not see once it is installed.
Door finishes, up close
Look at door edges and corners, not just the flat face. Compare thermofoil and painted finishes next to each other, and view them near a window if you can, since colour changes between shop lighting and daylight. Tevola offers both in many colours. Our guide to thermofoil vs painted cabinets explains the difference in plain terms.
Drawer hardware
Open and close drawers and doors several times. Check that they move smoothly, close quietly and sit flush. Ask what hardware is used and what handle options are available. Handles are included in Tevola’s published pricing.
Countertop samples
Ask to see quartz countertop samples, since a quartz countertop is part of the published price. Hold a sample against the door colour you like, because the two need to work together. Ask about edge options and how seams are handled.
The practical questions
Before you go, write down four more: How long will it take? What is not included? Who measures, and who installs? What happens if I want to change something after I approve the design? Clear answers now save arguments later. One customer, Abinan M., described his first visit this way: “From the moment I walked into their showroom, their team was attentive, knowledgeable, and ready to assist… the price they offered was very reasonable.” (Abinan M., Google review)
After your visit
Take photos of what you liked, with the date and location, and write down any model names or finish names. Compare notes with your partner or contractor the same day, while it is fresh. Then read our process to see how a project moves from measurement to installation, or browse custom kitchen cabinets in Toronto and the cabinet sizes we build to start planning your layout.
