Kitchen cabinets for North York homes
North York has two very different kitchen jobs, and they need different cabinets.
The tower kitchen. Along the Yonge Street corridor in Willowdale, and in Don Valley Village, you will find condominium and apartment buildings from many decades. Their kitchens are often small. In older buildings, today’s appliances can crowd a kitchen planned for smaller ones. A galley run, a bulkhead overhead or a column beside the fridge leaves no room for stock sizes, only gaps and filler strips. We build to your measurements, so a wall unit can be cut to the bulkhead and a tall pantry can sit tight to the fridge. The bungalow and the rebuilt house. Don Mills, Lansing, Newtonbrook, Bathurst Manor and Lawrence Manor have many mid-century bungalows and two storey homes. Downsview adds a mix of older houses and newer townhomes. Walls in older houses are rarely perfectly square, and a made to order run copes with that better than a stock box. In Bayview Village and York Mills, some owners rebuild or add on, and the plan may include an island or a pantry wall. If walls or windows are still changing, tell us before the measurement so we measure at the right time.

Can you build around a bulkhead or column in a North York condo?
Yes. We measure the real room, including bulkheads, columns and uneven walls, and build each cabinet to fit. That is the point of building to order. Tell us about the problem on WhatsApp first if you like, then we confirm every dimension at the free measurement.
What should I check with my condo building before I order?
Each building sets its own rules. Ask management about renovation approval, permitted work hours, elevator booking and whether a deposit is needed. Get the answers before you pick an install date, then tell us so we can plan around them. The condo guide has a longer checklist.
